Actors, singers, politicians, artists, influencers, athletes, and other public figures will no longer be allowed to advertise betting shops and other providers of so-called special games of chance. Only active athletes whose clubs are sponsored by betting shops and other providers of these games will be allowed to participate in their advertising, as stipulated by the amendments to the Advertising Law, the draft of which is currently under public discussion.
When the amendments to the Advertising Law, outlined in this draft, come into effect, the existing rules regarding the advertising of betting shops, casinos, and other providers of special games of chance will change.
Namely, The Law on Games of Chance distinguishes between classic games (lottery, scratch cards, bingo, tombola, etc.) and so-called special games of chance, which include various card games (poker, blackjack, etc.), slot machines, as well as betting on sports and other events.
