Cross-border cooperation

Programs of cross-border and transnational cooperation are an instrument of the European Union to support the cooperation of institutions in the border areas of neighboring countries. Currently in Serbia are conducted eight programs - with Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Adriatic program and the "Southeast Europe". The funds from the Instrument from Pre-Accession (IPA) EU is intended for our country, for cross-border and transnational cooperation for the period since 2007. to 2013. amount to more than 81 million.
These programs provide support to institutions and organizations in the border areas of neighboring countries to improve cooperation, resolving common challenges and improve the lives of disadvantaged and often hardly available areas.
