Ericsson’s „Connected tree“ at Science Festival

Ericsson is participating at the fifth Science Festival, in coopeartion with the Center for science promotion, with the project "Connected tree." Connected tree, or more popularly known as "Twittering tree" is traveling around the world for a year and reflects Ericsson''s vision of 50 billion connected devices by 2020. "Connected tree consists of a sensor that measures the capacitance and thus detects the movement of people in its area, as well as touching. The changes that are recorded by the sensor are converted, using special software on a laptop, into sound, or in this case, tweets and SMS. In Ericsson we are particularly committed to research in the field of communication of various devices and sensors, as well as the practical application of these solutions primarily in the different city services," said Milena Matic, Head of Strategy & Marketing Ericsson North Balkans.
