European Commission (EC) has selected to supply HP Integrity servers and related offerings to support critical workloads, including database-intensive applications and other critical environments, across multiple EC countries.
14 participating European Union (EU) institutions, agencies and bodies will now be able to acquire new HP Integrity servers based on the Intel® Itanium® processor running HP-UX 11i v3.
One of the steps of the technical evaluation required benchmark tests to be carried out at HP’s Performance Centre in Böblingen, Germany. According to the awarding criteria published in the tendering specifications, HP’s offer represented the best quality-to-price ratio.
