Galenika donates funds to the Oncology Department of the Health Center Kladovo
Galenika has donated funds amounting to 10,000 euros, in dinar equivalent, to the Oncology Department of the Health Center Kladovo. The donation aims to improve the treatment conditions for patients from Eastern Serbia and support the efforts of this healthcare institution in the fight against breast cancer.

This donation is part of Galenika’s corporate social responsibility campaign "Pantenol Pink October", which has been held for the fifth consecutive year. Throughout October, the company raised funds by selling its Pantenol products to support healthcare institutions engaged in the prevention and treatment of breast cancer. The campaign, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis, includes various activities and contributes to the solidarity in the fight against this deadly disease.

"We are proud that this October we once again focused special attention on the fight against breast cancer. For the fifth consecutive year, Galenika, through its national campaign, has placed emphasis on the importance of this topic. Early diagnosis and prevention not only help save lives but also improve the quality of life for patients. We are grateful to everyone who responded to Galenika's call and supported the campaign, as together we contribute to raising awareness about the importance of prevention and regular screenings, while also helping improve the treatment conditions", said Nenad Burazor, Director of Sales and Marketing at Galenika.

The Oncology Department of the Health Center Kladovo plays a key role in treating patients from the Bor, Zaječar, and Braničevo districts, which together have a population of nearly half a million people. Every year, the department conducts over 5,000 examinations, including preventive, diagnostic, and specialist checks, as well as over 2,000 therapeutic procedures. Additionally, around 250 breast cancer surgeries are performed annually.

"Thanks to the close cooperation between all the departments of the Health Center Kladovo, as well as the integrated diagnostic and therapeutic process, the number of breast cancer cases detected in the early stages continues to rise each year. I would like to thank Galenika for their donation, as it will enable us to acquire medical equipment that will further contribute to improving the conditions for the diagnosis and treatment of oncology patients", said Dr. Dejan Čučulanović, Interim Director of the Health Center Kladovo.
