During an interview with Elle magazine, Jelena Ristic, country manager for Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina at Mastercard, talks about language and gender inequality and believes that cultural habits and the degree of gender inclusion in society are changing very slowly. She adds that, even today, people have prejudices when it comes to different professions, more precisely, which gender is more suitable for performing a certain type of job. Female gender is far more discriminated against when it comes to this topic, but the fact is that gender has nothing to do with a person’s ability. In her opinion, only when we achieve gender equality, we will be able to use all the potentials and capacities of society as a whole.
