How to Tell a Story Through Data: 5 Tips for PR Professionals
Data storytelling is transforming the way companies communicate by turning complex information into clear and meaningful narratives that help audiences understand its significance and value. 

 While most marketing and sales professionals today regularly work with data, research shows that many still feel insecure when handling it. A global study conducted by Canva on over 2,400 respondents revealed that as many as two-thirds do not feel comfortable working with data, while 30% avoid it entirely—despite being aware of its importance. 

 On the other hand, research cited in the article 2025 Marketing Statistics for Storytelling and Branding shows that data storytelling is becoming the most powerful tool for connecting with audiences. As many as 92% of professionals believe that data storytelling effectively communicates insights, and 44% say that high-quality data visualization directly builds consumer trust and strengthens brand loyalty. 

 One thing is clear: having information is no longer enough—what matters is how it is presented. Those who can turn data into stories capture attention and remain memorable.
