KEC and McDonald’s – Two decades of cooperation

McDonald’s Serbia is marking an important anniversary this year, two decades of successful cooperation on the project “Integration of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities into the Social Environment” which is being implemented in cooperation with the Creative Educational Center KEC. 

“We are very happy and pleased that we were the first company in Serbia that, together with our partners from KEC, recognized and initiated an extremely important topic, which is the inclusion of young people with intellectual disabilities in society, through a program that in 2004 enabled these wonderful young people to realize their human right to work and have an active life in the community. With the logistical support of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Policy, 20 years ago, 12 people were employed in our two McDonald’s restaurants. We have improved cooperation every year and today these young people come to seven of our restaurants,” said Desanka Landauer, Marketing Director at McDonald’s Serbia.
