Local quality meets global standards

McDonald’s has clearly defined standards required from companies in order to become its supplier. Those standards are equal everywhere, and it is all the same whether you eat in McDonald’s restaurant in America, Europe, Asia, Africa, or Australia, since the high quality of food, taste, and service are recognizable everywhere.

When McDonald’s launched its operations in former Yugoslavia, which was exactly 35 years ago, it wasn’t easy to find local suppliers who were accomplishing everything that such a big multinational company requested, but there were then, as there are today, companies willing to invest in their capacities, in order to meet McDonald’s standards and become their supplier.

That is the case of the family company Desing from Knjazevac, whit which McDonald’s has been successfully cooperating for more than two decades. Desing does not only successfully supply McDonald’s with toppings for ice cream and syrups for shakes, but is also a true partner, who, together with Mac continuously develops new flavors and products in its development center „Desing Taste Center, center for development, education and innovation“. Chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and strawberry flavor toppings for McDonald’s ice creams, and syrups for shakes, as well as apple juice, are being produced in Desing factory.
