Manager of the McDonald's restaurant Bežanijska kosa, Jelena Tomović, winner of the prestigious global internal award Ray Kroc

Jelena Tomović, manager of McDonald's restaurant Bežanijska kosa, is the winner of the prestigious global internal award, Ray Kroc. This award is given by the global company to the best managers around the world. 

Jelena Tomović is one of 394 managers of McDonald's restaurants worldwide, from 70 markets (representing 1% of the best managers) who had the honor of receiving this important award, which consists of a cash prize, a statue, a trip, and attendance at a gala convention in Barcelona in April 2024, where awards will be presented to all winners from around the world. 

Anđelka Đurić, the director of the company, presented Jelena, who has been working at McDonald's Serbia for 26 years, with a certificate, as well as special gifts in the Bežanijska kosa restaurant in the presence of Jelena's colleagues. 

The director of McDonald's in Serbia, Anđelka Đurić, said, „We are extremely proud and happy that our Jelena is one of this year's winners of the prestigious award, Ray Kroc. I congratulate Jelena and this is a huge recognition both for her and for the entire team of the Bežanijska kosa restaurant, but also for all of us in the company in Serbia. I am sure that Jelena and her team will continue to achieve excellent results and win awards. This confirms that work, responsibility, commitment, and effort lead to the greatest results. All our managers in the company have passed all positions in the company and this is proof that progress in the company is possible and that the results are not only recognized but also rewarded.“ 

McDonald's independent franchisees and the company's regional management nominate restaurant managers for the Ray Kroc Award, in order to recognize those who have led their team to outstanding business performance and who reflect the culture and values of the McDonald's system. 

Jelena Tomović did not hide her enthusiasm. On the occasion of winning this important award, she said: „This is a huge recognition for me, but also for the whole team, because without the support of the team and the whole company this would not be possible. Thanks to my colleagues who nominated me. I will continue to work hard and do our daily work as best as possible with the team.“
