McDonald's is one of the winners of the national award for social responsibility "Djordje Vajfert"

McDonald's is one of the winners of the "Djordje Vajfert" National Award for Social Responsibility in 2024. The award is given by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and the McDonald's company received the award for the project "Integration of young people with intellectual disabilities into the social environment", which has been implemented for more than 20 years with the Creative Educational Center. McDonald's was the first company in Serbia that enabled young people with intellectual disabilities to exercise their right to work and an active life in the community. Cooperation developed over the years, so to date more than 250 young people have worked in Mac restaurants. For more than two decades, McDonald's has continuously supported the Creative Educational Center - through joint activities, food donations, and financial assistance. The plan is to further develop cooperation in order to give more young people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to work.
