MOL and JANAF agreed on the terms for long-term capacity tests

During the stress testing, experts will observe the peak and long-term continuous transport performance that the infrastructure can achieve under different weather conditions and across various seasons. MOL welcomed the start of the tests, as this could end the “numbers war” and conclude the long-running debate over the pipeline’s real capacity. Instead of opinions, a professional test based on data and facts will show how much the JANAF oil pipeline can actually handle. According to statements in Croatia, the pipeline’s annual capacity has been estimated at between 11 and 15 million tons, while more than 2 million tons of crude oil have never been transported through that section of the pipeline.
