MOL Group and KazMunayGas signed an agreement on oil trade
MOL Group continues to diversify its oil supply in the region: the company imported 85,000 tons of CPC blend crude oil and signed an oil trade agreement with the national oil company of Kazakhstan - KazMunayGas (KMG). The partnership between MOL and KMG dates back to 2004 and is getting stronger - at the end of 2024, the two companies signed a cooperation agreement aiming to jointly exploit opportunities on the Kazakh market. The new trade agreement further strengthens the security of oil supply in Central and Eastern Europe. A shipment of CPC (Caspian Pipeline Consortium) crude oil was delivered from the port of Novorossiysk to Omišalj, Croatia.

The delivery of 85,000 tons of CPC blend, which mainly consists of Kazakh oil, further increases the amount of oil arriving in the region by sea. Kazakh crude oil plays a key role in MOL Group's diversification program, as one of the 14 types that have already been tested at the Bratislava refinery and are regularly imported.
