More than 250 child car seats were inspected in the MOL Serbia and ABS campaign

This year as well, MOL Serbia, in cooperation with the Road Traffic Safety Agency (ABS), successfully carried out the project “Play is for children, a child’s life is not a game”, aimed at raising awareness among parents and all road users about the proper installation and use of child car seats.
As part of the project, at 20 MOL Serbia service stations, ABS-certified trainers held educational workshops and directly advised customers on the safe use and installation of child car seats. On this occasion, more than 250 seats were inspected, which represents an increase of almost 30 percent compared to last year, when 205 seats were checked at the same number of stations. Of this number, as many as 62 percent were not installed correctly, and 49.5 percent of children were not properly fastened in their car seats.
“Our goal was to show that it is not enough just to own a child car seat - it must also be used correctly, because only then can it protect a child in case of an accident. Through the project ‘Play is for children, a child’s life is not a game’, we wanted to be the voice of reason and safety, to transfer the knowledge from the workshops to the roads of Serbia. We are proud of the results we achieved together with the Road Traffic Safety Agency,” said Sanja Švonja, Marketing and Communications Expert at MOL Serbia.
