PepsiCo introduces HVO biodiesel to supply chain logistics operations

The PepsiCo company, in cooperation with its logistics partner, the FERCAM company, introduced the use of new generation HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) fuel in its raw material transportation line from Italy to the snack factory in Maglić, in the municipality of Bački Petrovac. As part of continuous efforts toward sustainable business, this initiative represents an important step forward in the direction of decarbonizing the supply chain and preserving the environment. 

On an annual basis, this line will transport about 700 tons of raw material for the production of Clipsy products, with a total mileage of 40,000 km and savings of 46 tons of CO₂. By using alternative fuels, such as HVO biodiesel obtained from renewable sources, a significant reduction in harmful gas emissions is achieved, while preserving the efficiency and quality of transport.
