Strategic PR planning - how to prepare for the summer slowdown
06/06/2025 • Profession news
In the PR industry, the summer period often brings a natural slowdown in activity, but the goals and expected results remain unchanged. In order to avoid panic in September and ensure continued success, it is important to plan ahead and adjust your strategy.
The key is to step up activities in the first half of the year and ensure sufficient media presence by the end of July, thus creating space for additional tasks in the second half of the year. The slack period can be used to create and approve content (such as expert pieces, blog posts, and media announcements) that are then carefully distributed over the summer.
If the goals are flexible, the strategy can be shifted from media presence to strengthening the personal brand of the company's key representatives on LinkedIn, as well as deepening the relationship with clients through case studies or preparing applications for awards.
In addition, the summer months provide an opportunity to devote yourself to internal communication, because satisfied and well-informed employees contribute to a better company reputation. In this way, companies not only avoid a slowdown but also actively build the foundations for a successful year-end.
Use summer as an opportunity for strategic positioning and strengthening of market presence.
