December is the month when everyone prepares for the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays and tries to make their families, friends, and colleagues happy.
McDonald's is celebrating 35 years of successful work in Serbia this year, and like every previous year, the company has carried out a large number of socially responsible activities throughout this year.
"We dedicated the jubilee year to supporting the community through various projects, such as book donations, monetary donations, support for sports, cultural, health institutions and associations, as well as through the volunteer actions of our employees, so that everyone who needed support feels comfortable and knows that they are not alone. We are particularly proud of the project 'New Year's Humanitarian Garden', which we realized with the Serbian Philanthropic Forum and the Botanical Garden 'Jevremovac', and in which we included our friends from the Creative Education Center, which has been caring for young people with developmental disabilities for almost 20 years, and on this occasion, we all made jewelry together and decorated the Christmas tree. The result of our joint effort was that our McDonald's Christmas tree was declared the winner by the audience on social networks, visitors to the botanical garden, and the expert jury. We are very happy and grateful for this recognition," said Anđelka Đurić, director of McDonald's in Serbia.
This December, McDonald's also organized a gathering with the famous children's writer Uroš Petrović, during which the children enjoyed Uroš's quizzes, and each child received a gift from Mac, Uroš's book "Fairy Tales of the Seven", signed by the author.
Mac will continue to be a true partner to the community in which it operates through the opening of new restaurants and the employment of young people, but also through the socially responsible actions it has been implementing since it has been operating in the Serbian market.
